Responsibilities
* Deliver warm, empathetic and respectful care and support across a 20-mile radius to help residents get the most out of life.
* Monitor the delivery of care when on duty and contribute to the person-centred care planning process for each resident.
* Record observations such as temperature and blood pressure, among other important tasks.
* Provide support and companionship, ensuring every resident enjoys meaningful one-to-one time with carers on every shift.
About the Role
You must hold a UK Driving License and have access to a car for this role. The role includes 12 hour shifts and rotational weekends.
As a Regional Senior Care Assistant with Barchester care homes, you’ll deliver warm, empathetic and respectful care and support across a 20-mile radius to help our residents get the most out of life. You’ll monitor the delivery of care on duty, contribute to the person-centred care planning process, and record observations on various health indicators. This role is varied and includes providing support and companionship, with a focus on meaningful one-to-one time with residents on every shift.
About You
A background in care is important for the role of Regional Senior Care Assistant, with a good understanding of elderly care. Essential is a Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care, and a solid understanding of the wider healthcare industry. Ideally, you’ll have GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above. You should be dedicated, compassionate, and motivated to support residents’ wellbeing. Because you’ll travel across the area, you’ll need your own car or ready access to one. Mileage is covered for travel over five miles from your main home, and a bonus may be available if you’re on duty during an inspection and the venue achieves a Good rating.
