Band 7 Psychological Therapist – Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Band 6 Trainee Psychological Therapist – Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 psychological therapist specialising in DBT to work within the South and West DBT consult. We would also welcome interest for a trainee DBT therapist. This unique role offers a funded salary: you will be employed at Band 6 during your training journey, with progression to a substantive DBT Therapist Band 7 position upon completion of training and accreditation.
The South and West Consult is embedded in the complex emotional needs pathway and has strong links with two other consults within the central locality. There will be further opportunities for continued professional development, including the family connections programme. We will strongly encourage developing links with other areas that are also developing their DBT pathways.
We are seeking someone who is trained, nearing the end of their postgraduate diploma training in DBT, or has a desire to train in DBT (band 7 salary will be dependent on achieving the qualification and accreditation), to work alongside another DBT Therapist and develop the current service.
The applicant would be able to carry out psychological assessment, formulation and therapy alongside psychological consultation, and deliver teaching/training to the multi-disciplinary team. Duties would also include attendance and contribution to MDT meetings.
