Offer description

This post is part-time and Fixed Term till 31 August 2028, 15.75 hours per week for the first 29 months, then reducing to 7 hours per week until end of August 2028. The salary stated above is the pro-rata amount for the first 29 months, the full-time salary would be £32,185 to £35,066 per annum (Incl. LWA). The salary would reduce accordingly for the remainder of the appointment. The University of Westminster is seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Administrator to support two significant research projects:-A major European research project funded by HERA/CHANSE: “The Crisis of Migration Discourse: Towards a Participatory New Lexicon of Migration.” (25% FTE).-A major UKRI/AHRC-funded project: “Future Ecologies of Clay” in partnership with the Victoria & Albert Museum. (20% FTE).Working closely with the two project leads and team members across UK and EU institutions, you will play a vital role in coordinating administrative tasks including financial monitoring, event organisation, internal and external communications, and maintaining project websites and social media. You will also liaise with stakeholders, minute meetings, and assist in delivering key project milestones.Main role accountabilities include:1.Project AdministrationSupport the project lead in the day-to-day administration of the research projects, including maintaining an up-to-date project timeline using appropriate online tools for tracking progress and planning.2.Budget Monitoring and ProcurementMonitor and manage project budgets, including procuring consumables and services, and regularly reporting to the project leads.3.Communication and CoordinationAct as the main administrative point of contact, managing internal and external communications with professionalism and discretion. Collaborate with research teams to develop and implement a communications plan for the project and its deliverables.4.Event OrganisationAssist in arranging project-related events such as conferences, seminars, workshops, meetings, and dissemination activities.5.Digital Presence ManagementManage the websites of both projects, mailing lists, and social media channels to support visibility and engagement.6.Documentation and ReportingCompile, catalogue, and distribute project documents, including funder and stakeholder reports, and maintain accurate records and meeting minutes.7.Assist publication editors with communications and data collection.8.Undertake any other duties as appropriate within their competence, as required by their Line manager from time to time.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, inclusive, and socially engaged university community and contribute to two major and impactful projects.You will be based in the College of Design, Creative and Digital Industries, University of Westminster, based on the Harrow campus. However, it may also be necessary to travel to other University of Westminster campuses in central London. Working conditions are flexible; some work may be completed remotely, although regular in-person meetings will be required.
