About the Role
You will provide tailored tuition to students who may have additional needs, including:
SEN (Special Educational Needs)
SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)
Trauma
At risk of PEX (Permanent Exclusion)Your sessions will focus on building confidence, improving engagement, and supporting academic progress.
As a Tutor, You Will:
Deliver personalised learning plans to meet individual needs
Work 1:1 or in small groups, adapting strategies for complex requirements
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
As a Tutor, you will:
Deliver personalised sessions tailored to the learner's needs.
Provide consistent and supportive mentoring to help build emotional resilience and self-confidence.
Develop and implement a Personalised Communication Plan using preferred signals (e.g., hand gestures, cards, emojis, words).
Practice communication strategies in calm situations to build familiarity and trust.Position -Tutor

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
Experience of working with learners with SENTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
