We have an exciting opportunity for an Allied Health professional passionate about falls and education to join the Primary and community care Academy on a 12 months secondment. This is an opportunity to develop and implement a falls training programme within the division. This will include community wards and community services, contractors e.g. opticians and care homes.
The post holder will act as a highly specialist practitioner leading on the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive falls prevention and management training strategy and implementation plan. The aim is to develop a coordinated approach to delivering Multi-professional falls training within the division encompassing divisional staff, contractors and care home staff.
This post is Secondment for 12 months due to the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
* To lead the Primary and Community Care Division in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive falls prevention and management training strategy and implementation plan. The aim is to develop a coordinated approach to delivering Multi-professional falls training within the division encompassing divisional staff, contractors and care home staff.
* To engage with key stakeholder to identify the requirements for falls training within the division including directly employed staff, a range of contractors and care homes. This includes several different professions both registered and unregistered.
* To scope the current fall training provision within the division, within the Health Board and wider to establish good practice.
* To lead in the development of methods of recording falls training to monitor compliance and audit.
* To design and support the delivery of falls related blended development activities for a range of multiprofessionals. This will include developing training packages, identifying and approving suitable e-learning, workshops and other initiatives to support the prevention of falls across primary care, and social care settings.
* To provide leadership on falls training within the PCC Academy and the Division.
* To establish monitoring and evaluation processes to support falls training across the division.
