Learning Support Assistants – September 2026 Start
Location: AndoverHours: Monday–Friday, Term Time OnlyPay: £14.25 per hour
We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for two specialist schools in Andover supporting pupils with SEN (e.g. autism, complex needs) and SEMH needs. Both schools offer structured, supportive environments focused on academic, social and emotional development.
The RoleYou will support pupils’ learning and wellbeing in a varied, hands-on role. Responsibilities include:
* Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
* Assisting with lesson delivery and adapting materials
* Encouraging engagement and focus
* Developing communication, social and life skills
* Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
* Contributing to a safe, consistent classroom environment
* Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff
SEN settings focus on routine and communication; SEMH settings emphasise trust, boundaries and positive role modelling.

Experience in SEN/SEMH is helpful but not required—full training provided.
