Contract: Permanent | 32 hours per week (including weekends) | Salary: £13.94 per hour plus service charge
Fowey Hall Hotel, part of the Luxury Family Hotels group, is a luxury family-focused hotel in Fowey, Cornwall. Our hotel is renowned for its exceptional service and warm hospitality. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview
As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring highest standards of service, and contributing to the overall success of Fowey Hall. The ideal candidate has a track record in a similar role, a passion for outstanding customer service, and the ability to lead a team to success.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the management of day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
* Supervise and train staff to ensure exceptional service delivery.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of food orders.
* Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
* Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold standards.
* Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies.
* Monitor financial performance and assist in budget management.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a passion for creating a great team dynamic.
* Great knowledge of current industry trends and food safety standards.
* Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced family environment.
* Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
