A Day in the Life of an Ipsos Field Market Research Interviewer
Imagine it: you’re scheduled for a shift as a Field Market Research Interviewer. You’ll be on a 6-hour shift (starting around 1 or 2pm), one of three you’ve pre-booked for the week, with hours that can include weekdays and weekends between 9am and 8pm. You’ll need a car, business insurance, and a valid driver’s licence for this job. You’ll be going door-to-door to invite people to participate in surveys, and you’ll use a company-provided tablet to record responses.
You’ll be making a real difference: the information you gather helps businesses and organisations make decisions that impact your community. Mileage reimbursement is provided for your travels, and full training is provided to help you feel confident when approaching people, even if they weren’t expecting a visit.
Responsibilities
* Go door-to-door to recruit participants for surveys using a company-provided tablet to record responses.
* Attend pre-booked 6-hour shifts within the 9am–8pm window, and manage travel between appointments.
* Complete training provided by Ipsos to feel confident contacting and engaging with respondents.
* Receive mileage reimbursement for travel.
* Contribute to market research that informs business decisions affecting communities.
Qualifications
* Car required, with business insurance and a valid driver’s licence.
* Comfortable meeting new people and starting conversations to put respondents at ease.
* Part-time availability with a minimum of 12 hours per week in pre-booked 6-hour shifts.
* Willingness to be your own boss within a flexible scheduling framework.
