We work closely with all departments within the hospital, including Accident and Emergency, ambulatory care, and ward staff. Currently, we assess, triage, and admit patients with acute medical conditions from various sources such as GPs, the Emergency Department, and Outpatient Clinics.
The role will involve providing delegated clinical procedures such as insertion/removal of cannulae, venipuncture, wound assessment, simple dressings, and removal of urinary catheters. The Acute Medical Unit is a dynamic diagnostic and emergency treatment unit within acute medicine, with a varied workload. The team is friendly and supportive, dedicated to high standards of care. We seek motivated, dynamic, and passionate individuals to join us.
We are looking for experienced Clinical Support Workers. Hospital experience is desirable but not essential. Candidates should have a minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4, or equivalent qualifications such as the Care Certificate or NVQ2 in health and social care.
Your responsibilities include delegated clinical procedures, with training provided. Successful applicants will complete an induction, including mandatory training, and will be supported through mentorship and supervision. We value team players who are motivated, committed to high standards, and eager for professional development.
