We’re seeking an Area Manager to join our dynamic Fulfillment Center. Our Fulfillment Centers are at the heart of Amazon’s rapidly growing Operations network: they’re where we manage our dynamic inventory, develop industry‑leading workflows, and stow, pick, pack, and ship products. You’ll lead one of the main teams in the FC—receive, stow, pick, pack, or ship—and ensure all workflows run smoothly to meet or exceed customer expectations. With a team of approximately 80 to 120 associates, you’ll drive training, integration, motivation, and performance while exercising sound judgment and working toward critical metric targets.
While you achieve this, you’ll ensure motivation, engagement, and performance:
* You’ll safeguard your team’s safety and promote Amazon’s Health and Safety standards.
* You’ll lead cross‑functional teams tasked with solving operational problems.
* You’ll uphold Amazon’s high standards of process quality.
* You’ll maintain inventory accuracy.
* You’ll strive to improve and streamline processes.
* You’ll become a subject‑matter expert on larger FC processes and activities.
* You’ll actively share and promote best practices with your colleagues and network.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, operations, logistics, supply chain, or engineering.
* Experience working effectively across cross‑functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization.
* Experience managing, motivating, and influencing team behaviors.
* Experience demonstrating problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis.
* Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and reacting with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround.
* Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, overnights, and weekends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
