Overview
The Fulfilment Network Planning Team (FNP) of the Amazon Japan Operation is looking for Program Managers. Amazon aims to offer the richest product selection and to be the company that values customers the most. The customer experience is based on product lineup, low price, and convenience. We are expanding through continuous improvement and innovation. The Program Manager in this position is responsible for important programs to manage and operate the FC/EF Network more efficiently as a member of the PLEX (Planning and Execution) team within FNP. FNP is a central team launched in 2021 to support the rapid expansion of Amazon's logistics network with locations including Fulfilment Centers (FC) and External Fulfilment (EF). We strive to improve operation costs while maintaining delivery speed and lead execution.
Responsibilities
* Leads peak readiness and execution management as the single-thread owner of the first mile team.
* Reduces operation costs in the short-term (3 months), mid-term (6 months), and long-term (1–3 years).
* Responsible for creating long-term volume planning strategy in close collaboration with the supply chain team.
A day in the life
Working style – Flextime. Standard working hours are 8 hours/day with business hours 9:00–18:00. Office presence is required every day. (Consider personal circumstances.)
About the team
This position is a member of the PLEX (Planning and Execution) team within Amazon Japan's FNP. The team handles a wide range of tasks from short- to long-term planning to operate the expanding Operation Network more efficiently. We continuously improve to deliver a rich product selection, sufficient inventory, and quick delivery to customers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in project management reporting results to senior leadership
* Bachelor's degree or higher
* Business level Japanese and English proficiency
* MS Excel advanced level (data visualization using functions, Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA experience)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Stakeholder management experience involving multiple and senior leadership levels
