Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 7 Lead Nurse within the Stowmarket Community Integrated Team.
Based at Stowlodge in Stowmarket, you will be expected to manage and lead a team of Community Nurses and support staff to meet the nursing needs of the local community.
We are a forward-thinking, motivated integrated team comprising experienced staff with a wealth of knowledge.
Main duties of the job
1. Responsibility for providing nursing services within the Integrated team to the local community, including developing and implementing new initiatives.
2. Supporting, maintaining, and developing best practices among the team to ensure quality care for patients, carers, and families.
3. Managing and overseeing complex cases, liaising with specialist services and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care, while supporting staff to handle complex patient needs confidently.
4. Acting as a role model, motivating, and empowering staff within the Nursing and wider Integrated Neighbourhood Team.
5. Supporting the further development of the Integrated Team, welcoming new services and staff.
6. Working professionally with different disciplines, professionals, and organizations to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience (Essential)
* Experience leading a community team
* Proven experience practicing as a qualified District Nurse or equivalent
* Management of complex patients within an Integrated Neighbourhood Team
* Advanced clinical assessment skills
* Understanding of local and national priorities for patients with long-term conditions
* Ability to manage people and provide high standards of care
* Ability to work within the Alliance to develop services and improvements
* Excellent communication skills
Knowledge and Experience (Desirable)
* Experience with interview and recruitment
* Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act
Qualifications (Essential)
* Current NMC registration
* Nursing Degree or relevant experience
* Specialist Practice Qualification in District Nursing
* Prescribing qualification (V100 or V300)
* Evidence of CPD and ability to teach and assess learning
Qualifications (Desirable)
* Additional leadership/management qualification
* Tissue viability or leg ulcer management training
* Teaching, learning, and assessing qualification (Level 7 or PGCE)
