About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join a leading engineering team in Dumbarton. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality welding and fabrication work to engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate welding and fabrication equipment, including set-up and adjustment.
* Perform TIG, MAG, and MMA welding processes, meeting PT and RT testing standards.
* Pipe welding, fit-up, and orbitalum pipe preparation.
* Marking off, drilling, plasma burning, and de-burring operations.
* Crane operation, lifting, and safe handling of materials.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data.
* Maintain equipment, tools, and housekeeping to high standards.
* Work flexibly across day and night shifts when required.
* Support wider team projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Recognised Welding/Fabrication apprenticeship.
* Strong operational knowledge of welding and fabrication equipment.
* Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and data.
* Computer literate; TIG welding experience preferred.

Salary & Benefits:
Salary: Approx. £33,650 per annum (£17.47 per hour)
Benefits: 27 days annual leave + 8 public holidays
