We're working with National Highways on a £679 million transformation of the A428, unlocking faster, smoother journeys between Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge. This project will save precious commuting time, cut carbon emissions and open up long‑term opportunities for local people and businesses.
We are currently looking for a Senior Project Controls & Analytics Engineer to join us in Cambridge who will support the integration and consolidation of all project related information utilising digital solutions according to the Skanska UK project controls process and digital strategy.
As the Senior Project Controls & Analytics Engineer, you will:
Ensure the consistent application of coding standards, processes, and procedures across the project, maintaining compliance with the Common Coding Structure.
Oversee the integration of Programme Control (P6), Cost and Budget (BoQ), Earned Value Reporting, Change Management, Resource Allocation (including labour and subcontract), Forecasting, and Reporting.
Develop, deliver, and maintain standard Power BI dashboards, analysis, and commentary for the Project Leadership Team.
Ensure data, performance processes, and solutions align with wider Skanska UK policies, reporting procedures, and Project Controls Reporting Obligations (PCRO).
Produce timely, accurate, and high-quality progress reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and business intelligence, to inform project stakeholders.
We are looking for:
Knowledge and experience within the construction industry and/or a construction-related accreditation or qualification.
Experience using Power BI (DAX, M) or similar. Highly versatile with Microsoft Excel.
Project management, commercial and project controls principles awareness.
Problem-solving/analysis: understanding complex issues/problems and having the ability to form practical/pragmatic solutions.
Knowledge of project methodology is essential, as well as an in-depth understanding of earned value management.
