Job Description
The UK Dematerialisation Programme Lead role provides dedicated programme leadership to ensure Computershare’s response to this market‑wide initiative is structured, coordinated and delivered with discipline as the programme progresses. The role will work collaboratively across Issuer Services and the wider business to support effective execution, stakeholder engagement and strategic readiness throughout the transition.
A role you will love
This role is accountable for driving the structured delivery of Computershare’s UK Dematerialisation programme along with supporting other strategic initiatives as required. It combines programme management, governance and delivery coordination to ensure technical and operational workstreams progress in a controlled and effective manner. The role is responsible for establishing and maintaining appropriate governance frameworks, managing milestones, risks and dependencies, and ensuring delivery remains aligned to strategic objectives and external market developments. The role will coordinate cross‑functional subject matter experts, maintain clear programme reporting, track key decisions and actions, support readiness planning across impacted business areas, and ensure issues are escalated and resolved in a timely manner. It will also act as the central point of coordination, enabling delivery teams to remain focused on execution while providing leadership with clear visibility of progress, risks and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and own integrated programme plans, milestones, dependencies and governance structures to ensure delivery is tracked effectively and key milestones are achieved.
* Coordinate cross‑functional teams including technology, operations, legal, business and change across multiple phases of delivery, reducing friction and enabling efficient execution.
* Identify, track and elevate programme risks, issues and critical decisions, ensuring clear ownership, accountability and timely resolution.
* Own and lead programme forums, delivery meetings and working groups, providing regular and comprehensive progress reporting.
* Lead executive management reporting and Steering Committee governance by preparing meaningful data, insights and decision papers.
* Act as the central coordination point for subject matter experts, enabling teams to remain focused on delivery rather than administration.
* Drive readiness planning and implementation activity across impacted business areas to support successful programme outcomes.
* Encourage and promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality across programme workstreams, ensuring compliance with all Computershare policies, requirements and values.
* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Issuer Services and the wider business to support alignment, engagement and decision‑making.
* Provide leadership, structure and discipline across the programme lifecycle to ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives.
What will you bring to the role?
The Program Manager – UK Dematerialization requires strong programme and project management capability, including governance, planning, reporting, risk and dependency management. The ideal candidate has experience delivering complex change initiatives within the UK financial services or capital markets sector, with exposure to market‑wide programmes highly advantageous. A strong understanding of how cross‑functional teams operate together to achieve shared objectives will be essential. The successful candidate will lead through influence, align senior stakeholders and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams without direct line management authority. They will be comfortable operating in ambiguity, connecting technical and operational considerations, and bringing together the right stakeholders to resolve issues effectively. Strong communication and relationship‑building skills will be critical.
Other Key Skills You Will Bring To The Role
* Proven experience delivering complex programmes in regulated environments.
* Strong project and programme management skills.
* Strong planning, governance and reporting capability.
