La Fosse are currently partnered with a customer who are looking to hire an Azure Cloud Architect into their team, on an initial 6 month contract.
This role is outside IR35 and based out of the customer's London office. The expectation is 3 days a week onsite, but this can be flexed if needed.
As a Cloud Architect, you will be the bridge between customer needs and engineering delivery, working daily within delivery streams to ensure architectural coherence across parallel work, facilitate collaborative design sessions that bring clarity to execution, and validate that capabilities are delivered by design in a secure-by-design manner. You will design and evolve our enterprise-scale Azure landing zones based on Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) principles, while ensuring that multiple delivery streams create a unified, coherent platform that meets customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Design enterprise-scale Azure landing zones aligned with Cloud Adoption Framework and Enterprise Scale Landing Zone patterns
* Create and maintain architectural blueprints for hub-and-spoke network topology, security zones, connectivity patterns, and SaaS integration architectures
* Design integration patterns for Microsoft ecosystem (M365, D365, Power Platform) and third-party SaaS solutions
* Design reusable Terraform modules and stack patterns for common platform capabilities including public access patterns for SaaS
* Define architectural standards, design patterns, and technical guardrails for cloud adoption and SaaS integration
* Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to platform engineers and application teams on both IaaS/PaaS and SaaS integrations
* Create and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) documenting significant decisions, alternatives, and trade-offs
* Design solutions that meet bank-grade requirements for security, resilience, compliance, and performance across cloud and SaaS
