About Skyscanner
Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 100 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole "47 browser tabs open" phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily .
Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all .
Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here).
About The Role
(Hybrid)
Leading with purpose:
This is a 12-month FTC family leave cover where you'll step in as Senior Talent Manager, Tooling & Reporting, leading our People Tooling and People Reporting teams through a busy and exciting chapter.
Owning the engine room:
You'll be accountable for the smooth running and evolution of our People tooling landscape, with Workday HCM as the single source of truth at the heart of it all.
Shaping how People works:
Acting as the voice of Tooling & Reporting in cross-functional conversations, you'll influence priorities, timelines and decisions that help the wider business move faster (and smarter).
From strategy to execution:
You'll own the delivery of the Workday product end-to-end, balancing long-term improvements with the realities of day-to-day operations.
What You'll Be Doing
* Setting direction: You'll guide the Tooling & Reporting teams, owning sequencing and prioritisation of work across competing demands while ensuring strong BAU delivery and driving continuous improvement in what we do and how we do it
* Designing smart systems: Partnering across the People Team, you'll translate functional needs into scalable, well-designed Workday solutions.
* Making the big calls: You'll lead decisions on Workday configuration, governance and change, keeping everything aligned to People and business goals.
* Connecting the dots: You'll oversee how Workday integrates with the wider People systems landscape (ATS, comp & bens, survey tools), ensuring clean data flow and long-term sustainability.
* Championing great data: You'll enable simple, well-governed ways of working that support high-quality People data and shared accountability.
* Leading humans (the best bit): You'll line manage Tooling & Reporting leads, supporting delivery, development and continuity.
* Keeping things moving: You'll steer delivery across performance and reward cycles, Workday releases, audits, and a significant Workday Foundations programme that will shape how our People tooling operates in 2026 and beyond.
About You
* People systems pro: You've led People Systems, HRIS or People Analytics teams in complex environments and know what "good" really looks like in practice.
* Workday-wise: You bring strong hands-on knowledge of Workday HCM and confidence navigating tooling, integrations and governance.
* Strategic and practical: You're comfortable at the big-picture level but never too far from the detail or delivery.
* Calm under pressure: You bring clarity and perspective to complex, high-impact work - and help others do the same.
* Collaborative by default: You're a thoughtful partner to Finance, Engineering and senior People stakeholders, balancing options, constraints and trade-offs.
* A people-first leader: You've line-managed senior ICs and team leads before, with a focus on development, delivery and continuity.
* Future-curious: You're interested in how emerging AI capabilities can add real value, and you approach adoption responsibly and pragmatically.
