We're looking for a proactive and reliable Depot Supervisor to join a busy and fast-paced depot operation, ensuring freight is processed efficiently and deliveries stay on schedule.Location: AntrimHours of work:This is a full-time role working a 35-hour week, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekly shifts:Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pmWeek 2: 11:30am - 7:30pmSalary: £29,870 per annum (£16.41/hour)Duration: Temporary to PermanentAs Depot Supervisor, you'll play a key role in overseeing daily depot activities, supporting drivers and sorters, and ensuring operational standards are maintained across all freight handling processes.In this role, you will be responsible for:Ensuring all freight is scanned in line with company proceduresSupervising depot sorting operations to ensure efficiency and accuracyMaking sure couriers are dispatched by no later than 8:00amAllocating collections to couriers each morningSupporting with unsorted freight and depot workflow issuesTroubleshooting scanner problems and liaising with IT when requiredManaging damaged, misdirected, RTS, and problem freightRunning depot reports and resolving freight discrepancies with couriersMonitoring driver attendance and depot staffing performanceEnsuring freight loads are distributed appropriately across driversOverseeing depot sorters and ensuring cages are filled correctlyProcessing GLS/ROI freight and drop-in freightHandling depot emails and day-to-day operational administrationReviewing depot operations to identify and resolve potential issuesEssential Criteria: Valid UK Driving licencePrevious Warehouse/ logistics experiencePrevious warehouse supervisory experienceWe're looking for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in a busy depot environment.If you know a suitable candidate for this opportunity, please send their CV over for consideration.
