Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nights Care Assistant to provide overnight support and care to residents. This role involves monitoring residents' well-being, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment throughout the night. Responsibilities
* Monitor residents' health status through patient observation and vital signs checks.
* Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
* Administer medications and manage care plans
* Provide compassionate patient care tailored to individual needs, including dementia and memory care.
* Respond promptly to resident calls or emergencies using CPR and first aid skills when necessary.
* Support residents with meal preparation and feeding as required, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light cleaning duties and infection control procedures.
* Use specialized equipment for resident transfers while adhering to safety standards.
* Document observations, interventions, and resident progress accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery aligned with care plans.
Qualifications
* Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, home health, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
* Experience working with individuals with dementia
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts.
* Strong patient monitoring skills and the ability to observe changes in residents' conditions.
* Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety procedures.
* Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills and patience for caring for vulnerable populations.
* Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high standards of safety and care. This role is vital in providing quality overnight support that ensures the safety, comfort, and dignity of our residents while fostering a nurturing environment that promotes well-being around the clock.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 48 per week
