Overview
Ambivet in Heanor are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team.
This role sits within a well-equipped veterinary group with its own OOHS, with a large, experienced team around you for support, and a leadership team that listens.
The salary for this role is dependent on experience and offers a wide range of benefits. The working hours are 40 per week, however, we are happy to discuss part-time arrangements.
About us
As a long-established practice with a loyal client base, we strive to work to high clinical standards and prioritise great patient and client care. Our team prides itself on having great team morale and supporting each other.
We are looking for a new Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our forward-thinking group, made up of 6 sites, one being our hospital branch. Ambivet is a large group that invests in and encourages certificate study and ongoing development. You will be joining a team that values clinical excellence, learning from each other and helping everyone to reach their potential.
The Hospital is well equipped with all the usual ultrasound, radiography, dentistry, endoscopic, surgical (inc laparoscopic), and ICU equipment you would expect in a top-tier 1st opinion Hospital, including our own internal laboratory. With a visiting CT Scanner to ensure even better care for patients
The role and you
The role
We are ideally seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with a keen orthopaedic bias.
You will bring new ideas and experiences, adding to the energy and positivity of our hard-working team. We want you to contribute to case discussions, clinical meetings and the provision of a progressive veterinary service to our clients.
Covering our own OOHS may sound intense elsewhere, but with our manageable rota full RVN support and generous time off in lieu, it is designed to be sustainable, not exhausting. Giving you true continuity of care for your clients without handing over cases to an unfamiliar OOHs provider. You will be on call to support the night Vet, and not actually working on site.
As well as enjoying our well-equipped practice and a busy, varied caseload, you will have access to a range of benefits. In addition, you will be supported in the development of your clinical and non-clinical skills, including self-leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience and business.
Salary and Benefits
Salary is dependent on experience, so please let us know your expectations during the screening process. Further to this, you\'ll have access to our wide range of benefits, including:
* Vet Oracle, our support platform for veterinary colleagues that provides expert advice and support across a range of clinical areas, holidays, pensions, discounts, paternal leave, fee payments or share save schemes might be your priority.
* To view our full suite of benefits, please see our what-we-offer
