A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join us on a prestigious contract in Winnersh, Wokingham. This is a Monday - Friday opportunity working 08:00-17:00.

Purpose: As a Mechanical Engineer at Smart Managed Solutions, you will be responsible for maintaining all environmental conditions and critical building systems to the highest standards. Your duties include carrying out PPM tasks, reactive and breakdown works on Mechanical systems, with knowledge of HVAC, Hot & Cold-Water Systems, and Generators. Basic electrical knowledge is desirable.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure routine PPM is carried out on all mechanical plant according to site schedules and asset lists.
2. Complete reactive tasks promptly and proactively identify areas for improvement, including stores and fabric-related items.
3. Quickly remedy plant faults and defects to keep systems operational.
4. Maintain suitable spares and provide parts lists and time estimates for remedial works.
5. Complete and pass reactive and breakdown work paperwork promptly.
6. Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safety.
7. Provide a safe working environment, including PPE and uniform.
8. Present a professional image of Smart Managed Solutions to clients.
9. Keep plant rooms clean, tidy, and secure.
10. Supervise and monitor subcontractors on site.
11. Maintain the Computer-Based Maintenance system (e.g., Maximo), ensuring tickets are updated and closed correctly.
12. Operate the Permit to Work System per company and client procedures.
Education and Training:
* Formal training in a mechanical engineering discipline (e.g., HVAC) to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 2.
