We are currently recruiting for a new Director of the Pound Arts Trust.

Pound Arts is a thriving and dynamic organisation which has huge impact well beyond its local community in Corsham, and well beyond a traditional view of what an arts centre might offer, with a significant focus on using the arts and creativity to address social and environmental challenges. Much of this has been down to the vision and determination of our current Director.

As we hand over the baton to a new Director, we welcome the opportunity to work with someone who shares our passion for what we do, and who sees this role as an exciting opportunity to progress their career by shaping the next era of our development.

Whilst experience and track record are important, the most essential elements are the aptitude, vision and passion to make the arts a part of people’s lives.

Purpose:

The Director is the senior executive role within the organisation, working with the Board of Trustees to shape the organisation’s future direction and sustainability and leading the staff and volunteer team to deliver a creative programme that has an impact both at local and regional level.

·Leadership & delivery: to lead and manage the staff and volunteer team in the delivery of the organisation’s artistic and business strategy, including developing and executing policies and procedures to ensure effective governance

·Financial management: to manage the charity’s finances to ensure the organisation’s ongoing sustainability

·Fundraising & income generation: to take the lead role in attracting funds from grant making bodies and individuals and to maximise earnings from the organisation’s various income streams

·Operations Management: Overseeing the management of a busy grade II listed building, facilities, health and safety, IT and creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for our community.
