Food and Beverage Supervisor – Based in Loughborough
Hours: 39 hours per week
Shifts: 5 out of 7 days, including a mix of the following shifts:
1. 9:30am – 5:30pm (1 day per week)
2. 11:00am – 9:00pm
3. 1:00pm – 10:00pm
4. 3:00pm – 11:00pm
You’ll receive one full weekend off per month and one split weekend off per month.
Salary: £27,844.44 per annum
About the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated and hands-on Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team at a well-established client. This role requires a strong leader with excellent knowledge of food and beverage service, who can motivate a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
5. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of menus, food terminology, and service standards.
6. Lead by example, ensuring the smooth running of all dining operations.
7. Support the Dining Room Manager in day-to-day operations and take full responsibility in their absence.
8. Oversee trial shifts, assess suitability, and provide constructive feedback.
9. Ensure high standards of food and beverage presentation, service, and guest care at all times.
Team Leadership & Training
10. Train, coach, and develop team members to reach their full potential.
11. Conduct appraisals, feedback sessions, and performance reviews.
12. Maintain accurate training and development records for all team members.
13. Identify and address performance issues through supportive and corrective coaching.
14. Promote teamwork, motivation, and a positive working environment.
Guest Experience
15. Be a visible presence in the Dining Room during service.
16. Deliver outstanding guest service, anticipating needs and resolving issues promptly.
17. Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, escalating where appropriate.
18. Uphold a friendly, professional image, ensuring every guest feels valued and welcome.
Administration & Communication
19. Complete and sign off daily operational checklists.
20. Maintain accurate records including staff absence, rotas, and training documentation.
21. Manage EPOS operations, guest charges, and revenue control.
22. Liaise effectively with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
23. Communicate clearly with the team through briefings, handovers, and regular meetings.
Sales & Stock Control
24. Motivate and encourage the team to upsell and promote daily specials and offers.
25. Monitor and order stock according to company procedures.
26. Maintain correct stock levels to balance efficiency and cost control.
27. Ensure all revenue and stock procedures are followed accurately to maximise profitability.
Health, Safety & Hygiene
28. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.
29. Complete regular safety and hygiene checks, reporting any hazards immediately.
30. Ensure compliance with allergen, hygiene, and diligence training requirements.
31. Lead by example in following all health and safety policies and procedures.
Professional Standards
32. Present yourself in accordance with the clients dress and conduct codes.
33. Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion at all times.
34. Support and uphold company values, fostering a respectful and supportive workplace culture.
Security
35. Ensure the safe use and return of keys, equipment, and company property.
36. Follow correct close-down and security procedures at the end of each shift.
37. Adhere to company computer and data security policies.
Other Duties
38. Attend training sessions relevant to the role.
39. Take initiative in suggesting improvements to operations or guest experience.
40. Assist across departments when required to support overall business needs.
