Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: 37 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern: 06:30–14:30 (Fri 06:30-14:00) or 10:30–18:30 (Fri 11:00–18:30).
The Site Supervisor ensures the buildings and site are secure, tidy, and well maintained, performing daily duties in line with health and safety requirements. The role includes opening and closing premises, managing lettings, checking for damage or security issues, general upkeep, internal cleaning, porterage, moving furniture, and grounds maintenance such as sweeping yards and keeping hard surfaces free of moss and hazards.
Responsibilities
Minor repairs to fixtures and fittings; report major defects to the Facilities Manager; manage routine heating and lighting duties, including replacing fluorescent tubes up to eleven feet.
Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate essential experience of general building and site maintenance and possess the ability to undertake basic repairs. Candidates should exhibit good time management and organisation skills, alongside the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences. The role requires an understanding of academy child safeguarding procedures and the ability to relate to students in a pleasant manner.
Although not essential, experience of working in a school environment is desirable. Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and/or enhance qualifications and training and possess the ability to use standard ICT packages, including Microsoft Office. A satisfactory DBS check is mandatory.
