Responsibilities
* Undertake and report on a variety of ultrasound examinations on a rotational basis, including obstetrics (nuchal translucency scan, anatomy scans, growth scans), gynaecology and general medical ultrasound.
* Provide a high-quality, efficient and effective ultrasound service with unsupervised scanning sessions to the people of North East Essex.
* Work as an independent practitioner, performing scans to a high diagnostic standard, prioritising workload, formulating comprehensive accurate reports, communicating results via an agreed method to clinicians/patients, and remaining accountable for professional actions.
* Provide specialist advice pertaining to the ultrasound service.
* Be responsible for the training and supervision of all staff and students within the Ultrasound Unit.
* Safely use all ultrasound equipment, resolve first-line problems, record accurate details of equipment faults, report faults and liaise with engineers.
Qualifications
HCPC registration or other UK recognised bodies (e.g., NMC) with a CASE Accredited Post-Graduate Diploma (PgD) or Post-Graduate Certificate (PgC) in Medical Ultrasound.
Working Hours
Variety of shifts with flexible working, including weekends, based on service needs.
