Griffiths & Hood Ltd is a family-run office furniture manufacturer established in 1964. Based in Leigh-on-Sea, we produce bespoke office furniture, panels, and joinery using veneer, laminate, melamine, MDF, plywood, solid timber, and more.
We are expanding our CNC department and are looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly, well-established company where your skills and input will make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate CNC machinery to manufacture bespoke panels, components, and furniture parts.
* Adjust programs and machine settings to optimise accuracy and efficiency.
* Carry out routine checks and maintenance to ensure reliability.
* Work closely with colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
* Contribute to a safe, organised, and positive working environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a woodworking/manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with SCM and/or Biesse machinery a bonus but not essential.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new processes.
