Family Law Solicitor
Location: Devon – Tiverton or North Devon
Salary: Up to £55,000 (DOE)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (initial on-site expectation)
About the Role
A well-regarded and progressive regional law firm with multiple offices across Devon is seeking a talented Family Law Solicitor (minimum 3 years PQE) to join its dedicated team. Known for its supportive culture and strong local reputation, the firm offers a flexible working environment with the option of hybrid working for the right candidate.
This is a full-time, standalone role suited to a confident and capable solicitor who can manage a broad caseload of family matters. You will play a key role in the department’s continued growth, working closely with the Partner and Head of Family.
The role will involve:
* Managing a varied caseload of divorce and financial remedy proceedings, private law children matters, and non-molestation injunctions.
* Conducting hearings, drafting orders, and instructing counsel where appropriate.
* Advising clients through contested proceedings with professionalism and empathy.
* Occasionally handling cases involving social services, guardianship applications, and related matters.
* Supporting the team’s wider success with a proactive, solutions-led approach.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE in Family Law.
* Have experience across both finance and children-related matters.
* Be confident running your own caseload independently.
* Demonstrate strong client care and communication skills.
* Be comfortable attending hearings and briefing counsel.
