Procurement Officer

37 hours per week, based in Preston

£38,902.59 per annum

What will you be doing in this role?

You'll be a part of our Asset Management team, whose overarching purpose is to ensure our?tenants?live in well-?maintained?and safe homes. The Asset Management Team?are responsible for?providing an excellent repairs and maintenance service We have around 7000 properties across Preston, Fylde and South Ribble.

The Procurement Officer will support the Asset Management Team to meet the requirements of the Procurement Act. They will maintain effective systems for managing service, supply, and works contracts. They will oversee the full contract lifecycle, from procurement through to award and review, ensuring CGA obtains value for money. Working closely with managers, they will provide expert advice and guidance on all procurement activities.

What we are looking for:

* You'll have a sound understanding of relevant laws and regulations, including EU procurement regulations.
* You'll have excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce reports and write policies and procedures.
* You'll be qualified to or willing to work towards a Level 5 qualification or above in a procurement or business-related qualification.
* You'll have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role including experience of setting up and administrating contracts and e-tendering.

It would be great if you also had:

* Experience in the management of external contractors
* An understanding of data collection methods, data analysis and managing asset data systems
