Location: Crawley Depot, Crawley, West Sussex
Job Type: Permanent, full‑time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week
Salary: £30,500 per annum

About The Role
* Travel to residential sites in a company van and operate a high‑pressure water jet for restoration.
* Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems.
* Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
* Run diagnostics and repairs on drains.
* Deliver excellent customer service.
* Maintain good H&S practice while carrying out works.
* Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
* Comply with health and safety responsibilities – PPE, safe site set‑ups, lone‑worker system.
* Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.
* Work unsupervised in all weather conditions using correct PPE.
* Dynamically assess risk of site access and working conditions on arrival.
* Communicate with the client regarding progress and any updates.
* Provide support to colleagues.
* Inspect tools, equipment and plant before and after use.
* Report defects or malfunctions in accordance with training.
* Carry out risk assessments and adopt a mature approach to risk perception.
* Adhere to all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.
* Perform any other reasonable, ad‑hoc duties requested by management.
Training and Support
Full training, PPE and company equipment will be provided to ensure that all drainage engineers have the right tools, competency and confidence to undertake the work to Lanes’ high standards of operation.
About You
The ideal candidate will be hardworking, respectful, and able to comply with health and safety standards. Experience with high‑pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g., NRSWA and confined spaces) are an advantage. You must have a full UK driver’s licence.
