Master Technician Required for a Car Dealership
1. Salary: Up to £60,000 Basic DOE + £6,000 Bonus (pro rata for part-time roles)
2. Hours: Full-Time, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with flexible working or part-time options available (3 or 4 days per week)
3. Our client, a prestigious car dealership in Croydon, is seeking an exceptional Master Technician to lead their workshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your advanced technical expertise in a state-of-the-art facility.
Duties of a Master Technician:
4. Diagnose complex faults on a variety of vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
5. Perform high-level servicing, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
6. Oversee and execute intricate repairs, including engine rebuilds, transmission work, and electrical system diagnostics.
7. Ensure all vehicles meet stringent safety and performance standards. Provide accurate time estimates and detailed service reports for all jobs.
8. Mentor junior technicians and collaborate with the Workshop Manager to maintain workflow efficiency.
What Our Client Expects from Their Master Technician:
9. Master Technician certification or equivalent manufacturer-specific qualifications (essential).
10. NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent time-served experience).
11. A full UK driving licence. Extensive experience working on a variety of vehicles, with advanced diagnostic and repair capabilities.
12. An MOT Tester licence is advantageous but not essential.
13. Self-sufficiency, with the ability to independently handle complex mechanical and electrical jobs. Our client expects solutions not problems.
14. Leadership skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship.
