Position Summary
We have an opportunity for an Asset Maintenance Manager at our Confectionery factory in Girvan, Scotland. This role is responsible for leading, guiding, and motivating the engineering team to ensure the plant is available to produce our products on time while meeting all quality and safety requirements.
Nestlé Girvan Factory supplies York factory materials to support manufacturing at the home of the iconic confectionery brand Kit Kat, among other well-known brands such as Aero, Milky Bar, and Yorkie. These are produced through controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines.
A day in the life of an Asset Maintenance Manager
Reporting to the Factory Operations Manager, this role will manage and support the maintenance team to meet both Production and Engineering demands, ensuring that priority work is completed promptly while conforming to all Nestlé Health and Safety requirements and legislation.
You will develop a culture of proactivity where people take pride and responsibility in their work.
The main focus of the role includes:
1. Ensuring engineering resources align with Factory strategy
2. Carrying out Planned Maintenance activities as per the scheduled plan
3. Overseeing the day-to-day leadership of a team of around 7 engineers
4. Creating a structured environment for Maintenance activities with clear expectations of behavior and performance
5. Tracking and reporting on a defined maintenance budget
6. Supporting the implementation of Asset Maintenance and TPM-PM to maximize performance, safety, quality, wastage reduction, and efficiency
7. Analyzing data and reviewing breakdowns to implement proactive strategies
8. Promoting a safety-conscious environment where all engineering employees adhere to Nestlé Safe Working and hygienic practices
9. Carrying out Opportunity Maintenance on idle equipment
What will make you successful?

* Experience in a people management role within food manufacturing or engineering
* Experience working in a unionized environment
* Degree/Diploma/HNC in Mechanical, Electrical & Automation, Process, Industrial Engineering, or similar
* Proven ability to achieve targets, drive improvements, and manage budgets
* Understanding of factory operations, TPM/Lean, health & safety, employment, quality, and hygiene legislation
