Senior Early Years Officer Haringey36 hours per weekInitial 3-month contract£27.27 per hour (Umbrella) / £19.95 per hour (PAYE) About the Role Haringey Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Early Years Officer to support the operational and day-to-day management of childcare provision within our Children’s Centres. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Early Years professional to play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality early education and childcare, ensuring inclusive, reflective, and outstanding practice in line with EYFS requirements. Key Responsibilities
* Support the operational management of the Early Years provision
* Lead on high-quality EYFS curriculum planning and delivery
* Support children with SEND, including involvement in assessments and EHCP planning
* Contribute to safeguarding, child protection, and welfare procedures
* Monitor, assess and review children’s development and progress
* Support and supervise staff, including mentoring and training delivery
* Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals
* Contribute to Ofsted readiness and inspection processes
* Support student placements and partnership working with training providers
* Promote parental engagement and inclusive practice
About You We are looking for someone who has:
* A recognised Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (essential)
* Strong working knowledge of EYFS, SEND and child development
* Experience supporting children with additional needs
* Experience within an integrated Early Years setting
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Experience supporting or supervising staff
* Understanding of Ofsted standards and inspections
* Good IT skills and report writing ability
