AITC is a Command consisting of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, the Soldier Academy and the Leadership, Education and Development Group designed to deliver officers and soldiers from basic training (Regular and Reserve), Infantry trade training and through life learning to ensure that the Army is able to meet the challenges ahead.
Key responsibilities:
* To work as an integral member of the RTIC Team, engaging in data collation, data quality assurance, regular and ad hoc reporting activities.
* Work within a mixed military and civilian team to help ensure the continued successful delivery of regular and ad hoc information products both now and through ongoing business change.
* Liaise with external stakeholders in relation to data provision, inconsistency identification, resolution and data governance as required.
* Support and, where appropriate, take ownership and lead on the development and production of defined RTIC information products (e.g. standardised reports, charts and responses to ad hoc data requests).
* Provide advice, support and, where appropriate, lead in the development and delivery of written/oral briefings and/or reports.
* Work as part of the RTIC team, interacting and sharing responsibilities where appropriate.
* Maintain compliance with current direction and regulations with regards to data collection, storage and management and current data protection legislation.
* The RTIC has a business-critical role in producing performance information which underpins operational and strategic decision making. You will need to rapidly develop an understanding of AITC and LWC business operations, specifically the Basic Training and Individual Trade Training pipelines, along with the associated IT systems and data flows.
* Engage confidently with a range of stakeholders from across the business and to nurture strong professional relationships at multiple levels, potentially ranging from data entry clerks within training schools, IT and data support staff within Army Data Services and the Digital Foundry, through to senior leaders and information consumers across AITC Headquarters.
* As AITC undergoes a period of transformation and development, you should be agile and willing to adopt a flexible approach to changing systems and data flows and to evolving business information needs.
* The RTIC is a busy cell with all team members having important defined roles and relying on each other to ensure the timely production of high-quality information products. Whilst under the broad direction of the RTIC Lead, you will be expected to take responsibility for your allocated tasks and to fulfil your role with minimal supervision.

Essential skills required:
* Competent in data manipulation and methods of information presentation.
* Working knowledge of MS Excel including the use of charts, formulae and pivot tables.
* Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Query for Excel.
* The ability to translate business questions into data analysis tasks and to summarise and communicate analysis results in non-technical business terms.
* Ability to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders.
* Must be a team player.
