Dorsett Hospitality Internationals newly opened Dorsett Canary Wharf,in Canary Wharf, London. This area forms a strategically significant part of Londons world city offer for financial, media and business services. We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Revenue Manager to join our opening team at our brand-new hotel.
As the Revenue Manager, you will guide and encourage all revenue-generating departments to maximise the hotels total revenue through professional sales and management of all channels of distribution with efficient planning and organisation. Y ou will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of revenue and reservations. Working closely with the General Manager and other departments, you will proactively address guest needs and create an environment of teamwork and collaboration. Your leadership will play a key role in shaping our business. This is a perfect role for someone who is looking for their next step up to Revenue Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Cluster Director of Revenue and General Manager to produce and lead the departmental budgets and monitoring throughout the year.
To ensure the forecast and strategy are produced and communicated every week.
To prepare and lead the revenue meeting every week, communicating the forecast and strategy.
Effectively use forecasting tools for guest rooms and all hotel revenue streams.
Monitor the global, local and environmental issues impacting the city and hotel.
Assist the hotel in revenue decisions, highlighting opportunities and developing SMART actions to ensure the revenue team is aware of the target and kept informed of their result.
Check competitors strategy regularly, reviewing pricing and availability.
To encourage team colleagues to contribute to decision-making and effectively communicate outcomes.
To demonstrate decision-making that best benefits the hotel.
To maintain effective control of room availability in all categories and all markets, maximising the occupancies and yield at every opportunity.
To apply an appropriate overbooking policy and educate the team through qualified bookings. Implementing and monitoring waitlists.
Identifying potential new opportunities to improve revenue performance.
To manage any automated revenue management systems decisions (iDeas) and interpret their forecasts and decisions to the executive team.
To ensure that all BAR rates, contracted rates, promotions and packages are correctly loaded in the PMS and all other appropriate/relevant systems.
To ensure all bills and non-arrivals charges are processed within the agreed timelines.
To ensure PM accounts are cleared and issues resolved within the required timeline.
To attend any Hotel or group hotel meetings as arranged.
Actively take part in all internal Hotel events and meetings as appropriate or invited.
To build and establish effective relationships with the industry colleagues.
To meet and liaise with clients regarding their requirements as and when their need arises.
To manage all reservation systems and team members to ensure that maximum sales at maximum rates are achieved.
Ensure rates are communicated and loaded into the GDS promptly to maximise business through these channels.
The ideal candidate experience
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar environment in a proactive Assistant Revenue Manager role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, clients and internally.
Must have analytical skills and a strategic mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop effective revenue strategies.
Have sound knowledge of the hotel operations, revenue management, and the hospitality industry.
Proactive and adaptable attitude in a fast-paced environment.

A bit about us
Dorsett Canary Wharf will have 231 guestrooms. The hotel will accommodate front-of-house facilities including a café on Alpha Square, a restaurant, a gym and conference facility at the lower levels and a sky bar/terrace on level 20.
The hotel is within a 515-minute walk of Canary Wharf Underground Station, DLR stations, and the Elizabeth Line station. The hotel will also be well connected to the local bus network and is within walking distance of riverboat services operating from Canary Wharf Pier to Central London.
