An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer at Wakefield Equipment and Wheelchair Service.
The suitable candidate shall have either successfully completed a recognised mechanical apprenticeship or be able to demonstrate an equivalent skill set.
All applicants shall have relevant experience and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and Safe Working Practices.
The role involves routine maintenance, inspection, and repair work on a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment, including Portable Appliance and LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) testing. Training will be provided.
The equipment is used in clients' homes, care, and nursing homes within the Wakefield District. The successful candidate will also inspect equipment within Wakefield Equipment Service Stores and carry out maintenance as required. Therefore, we require our Maintenance Engineer to be an excellent communicator, computer literate, and able to work independently at times. Flexibility and adaptability are essential.
Driving license is essential.
