Role Summary
We're looking for a Digital Channel Manager based in our Warrington HQ with deep expertise in SEO and front-end web optimisation to join the Energy Solutions digital marketing team at Certas Energy. This SME role is responsible for leading technical SEO delivery, improving SERP visibility, and ensuring a consistent, high-performance digital presence across our platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Own technical SEO strategy, including crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and structured data
* Manage day-to-day front-end website activity using CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Magento)
* Coordinate with developers and agencies to implement web changes and SEO improvements
* Analyse site performance, identify issues, and deliver continuous technical optimisation
* Lead on SEO performance monitoring, reporting, and improvement plans
* Support marketing campaigns through SEO-led content, tracking, and implementation best practice
* Set SEO standards and QA guardrails across all projects and digital outputs
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong background in technical SEO and web optimisation
* Hands-on CMS experience (WordPress, Magento preferred)
* Confident using SEO tools and platforms (e.g., GSC, GA4, Tag Manager, SEMrush, ScreamingFrog)
* Analytical mindset with a focus on results, visibility, and engagement
* Excellent stakeholder and agency management skills
* Experience working within a cross-functional digital or marketing team
* Highly organised with a proactive, solution-focused approach
Additional Information
This role sits within a skill-based digital team structure and will collaborate closely with our Performance Marketing SME, Development Manager, and wider commercial and domestic marketing teams. The role is based in Warrington with hybrid working options.
