About the apprenticeship
Duties
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in setting up the kitchen ready for service
Assisting with preparing, cooking and serving food to a high standard
Learning knowledge of dietary and nutritional requirements
Learning how to ensure food is prepared efficiently and accurately
Communicating par levels and shortages with management before and during service
Making sure all deliveries are checked into the restaurant to correct standards and advising the manager of any problems
Making sure the correct stock rotation and food dating rules are adhered to
Recording all food wastage accurately
Carrying out temperature checks, and recording information according to business standards
Participating in the cleaning rota to make sure the back of house is kept clean and tidy at all times
Contribute to the success of the business by carrying out any reasonable request from your manager
Closing kitchen at end of service
