Cloud Engineer
Location: Remote (UK)
Contract: 12 months
IR35: Outside IR35
The Role
We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer to join a small platform team supporting the modernisation of on-prem infrastructure into AWS. You’ll work closely with a senior engineer on day-to-day cloud and infrastructure tasks, helping to support, migrate, and operate hybrid environments.
This is a hands-on delivery role, suited to engineers who enjoy working across VMware, AWS, and Kubernetes in real production environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting hybrid cloud environments across on-prem and AWS
* Assisting with VMware to AWS migration activities
* Supporting and operating Kubernetes clusters and containerised workloads
* Working with Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage environments
* Troubleshooting issues across cloud, virtual machines, and Linux/Windows systems
* Collaborating with platform, DevOps, and application teams
Experience We’re Looking For
* Hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere / ESXi)
* Experience working with AWS in production environments
* Exposure to VMware to AWS migrations (preferred)
* Working knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS or similar)
* Experience with Linux and Windows systems
* Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm
