Public Procurement and State Aid Lawyer (3–5 PQE)

A leading international law firm is seeking a talented Public Procurement and State Aid Lawyer (3–5 years PQE) to join its growing Competition, EU and Trade team, with opportunities to work on complex, high-profile matters across the UK and Europe.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to contribute to a dynamic practice advising on:
* The Public Contracts Regulations 2015, and/or the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015,Procurement Act 2023
* UK Subsidy Control, EU State Aid, and related trade law matters
Ideal Candidate
* 3–5 years PQE with experience in public procurement law
* Familiarity with UK subsidy control and/or EU State Aid (or a desire to develop in these areas)
* Strong legal research and analytical skills, particularly in complex regulatory areas
* A commercial, pragmatic mindset with an eye for risk-based solutions
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative, client-focused approach
Sample of Recent Work
* Advising a major government department on a national procurement programme
* Advising an international client in relation to a public procurement law dispute
* Supporting multinational corporations in subsidy-related judicial reviews
* Providing guidance on cross-border trade implications under UK–EU agreements
