Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Material Planner/Scheduler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will serve as the key link between our customers and internal departments—ensuring efficient job scheduling, accurate order processing, and on-time delivery of quality parts. Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as a liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
* Create job travelers within 24 hours of receiving customer purchase orders using Epicor 9.
* Monitor production jobs and ensure timely closure within the ERP system.
* Set up and release jobs based on inventory needs, shipments, and demand reports.
* Generate and maintain essential reports, including:
* On-time delivery tracking
* Customer sales data
* Open purchase order reports
* Daily "jobs to be" reports
* Input and verify inventory data; assist with physical inventory counts when necessary.
* Communicate with customers via EDI, phone, or fax within 24 hours of inquiries or order receipt.
* Collaborate across departments to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of customer parts.
* Identify and resolve scheduling or inventory issues quickly and effectively.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization abilities
Effective communication and customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Epicor 9 (or similar ERP systems)
Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience
