Broster Buchanan are partnering with our client to recruit a diligent and detail-focused Legal Cashier to support the smooth financial operations of their firm. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, a commitment to accuracy, and a solid understanding of legal finance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process client and office account transactions in full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
* Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and audit trails
* Reconcile client and office bank accounts on a daily basis
* Manage client funds, including transfers, payments, and receipts
* Prepare and post disbursements, bills, and write-offs
* Contribute to credit control by monitoring outstanding balances and supporting timely payment collection
* Respond efficiently to internal and external finance queries
* Work collaboratively with the wider finance team to enhance processes and maintain high standards of financial integrity
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar legal finance role
* Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules
* Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
* Experience using legal accounting systems (e.g., SOS, Proclaim, LEAP, or similar)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
* A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
