Overview
Clinical Nurse Specialist Skin and Sarcoma. The skin and sarcoma team are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic, patient focused nurse with recent skin / sarcoma or oncology/haematology experience to help us maintain the delivery of high-quality care to patients referred to our team. As a Skin and Sarcoma CNS, you will holistically assess the patients current needs providing supportive care to improve their cancer experience and quality of life. You will be an integrated member of the multidisciplinary team working across the whole patient pathway, supporting the patient as required throughout their pathway. You will be expected to work within the team as well as autonomously, prioritising and managing your caseload and time appropriately.
Responsibilities
* Holistically assess patients current needs and provide supportive care to improve their cancer experience and quality of life.
* Act as an integrated member of the multidisciplinary team across the whole patient pathway.
* Support patients throughout their pathway, both within the team and autonomously as required.
* Prioritise and manage caseload and time effectively.
Working pattern and terms
Working Pattern: 37.5 hrs. Fixed Term Contract 12 months. Interview Date: To Be Confirmed. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.
