An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the GGC Advanced Practice Physiotherapy team in the North sector. The post will be based in the Orthopaedic outpatient's service between Stobhill Hospital and Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The post holder will be expected to work as an autonomous expert musculoskeletal practitioner in the Orthopaedic clinics utilising highly specialist knowledge to determine appropriate Orthopaedic management e.g. listing for surgery, imaging, ACRT and onward referral. Current service needs may be within the upper and lower limb clinics however the service requires a degree of flexibility to meet demands.
A qualification in joint and soft tissue injections is essential, and candidates must demonstrate significant relevant experience at band 7 level. The post holder will be required to lead on service improvement projects and service audits following QI methodology to continually improve the patient's pathways and experience. The post holder will be required to provide education for colleagues from various specialties.
In addition to the Orthopaedic clinics there is a requirement to maintain a physiotherapy clinical caseload of patients with complex conditions and second opinion clinics.
Candidates should have evidence of degree in physiotherapy, HCPC registration and evidence of post graduate education relevant to the specialty.
Extensive post graduate experience with at least 5 years in musculoskeletal. Applicants should have prior experience at AFC Band 7 relevant to MSK/Orthopaedics or be able to demonstrate experience equivalent to Band 7 level. The Shift Pattern for this post is worked 5 days over 7.
