About the Role

As an AWS DevOps Engineer you will design and automate cloud solutions that enable organisations to deliver faster, smarter, and more reliably. Key Responsibilities
* Design and build scalable AWS infrastructure following best practices for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
* Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform or CloudFormation and develop CI/CD pipelines for seamless delivery.
* Collaborate with developers, architects, and operations teams to integrate DevOps solutions into project workflows and troubleshoot AWS environments.
* Apply security best practices, conduct audits, and maintain compliance with governance and regulatory standards.
* Develop monitoring and alerting solutions to enhance availability and proactively optimise cloud environments.
* Identify and implement automation opportunities to increase efficiency and drive operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
* Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM).
* Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CodePipeline).
* Scripting proficiency (Python, Bash, or similar) and experience with Git.
* Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Knowledge of Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
* Understanding of cloud security and compliance practices.
* Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
Desirable Qualifications
* AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
* Experience working in Agile and consulting environments.
Security Clearance
Due to the secure nature of the programme you must hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance.
