Commercial Contract Manager
Salary: 45k-60k depending on level of experience

Role Purpose
To manage and oversee all lifecycle stages of contracts (pre-award, award, post-award) for software, services, vendor/supplier agreements etc., ensuring legal/contractual compliance, risk mitigation, commercial value, and alignment with business objectives. You’ll act as a key interface between vendors, internal stakeholders (IT, finance, operations, legal), and management.
Key Responsibilities
* Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing a variety of contracts — software licenses, service level agreements (SLAs), vendor/supplier contracts, SaaS, cloud, maintenance/support agreements, etc.
* Managing vendor/supplier relationships to ensure performance, compliance, cost control.
* Ensuring that contract terms protect the business: liability, IP, warranties, termination, data/privacy/security etc.
* Post-contract management: tracking deliverables, monitoring KPIs, managing change orders, variations.
* Handling contract renewals, extensions, terminations.
* Identifying, assessing, managing contract-related risks; escalating as necessary.
* Ensuring governance around contracts: keeping proper documentation, version control, audit trails.
* Working with Legal, Procurement, Finance to ensure alignment and that contracts comply with internal policies and external regulations.
* Supporting internal stakeholders: e.g. interpreting contract clauses for them, training / advising on contract best practices.
* Continuous improvement: help refine contract templates, standard terms, contract management systems/processes, efficiencies.
* Monitoring market / vendor trends (pricing, risk, regulations etc.) to inform negotiations and contract terms.
Required Skills & Experience
* Several years (e.g. 2-5) experience in contract management in a tech / IT environment (software / SaaS / cloud contracts etc.)
* Good understanding of contract law, legal terminology, risk allocation, data protection, IP, etc.
* Strong negotiation skills — able to secure favourable terms and balance risk vs benefit.
* Proven ability in post-award contract management: vendor performance management, KPI tracking, change management.
* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders: legal, finance, procurement, operations, IT.
