Our client, an award-winning cruise company has been established for over 50 years, employing over 500 travel professionals UK-wide. Following yet another record-breaking year and with exciting future aspiration, they’re now looking for a Customer Service Team Leader to support with expansion plans.

This role can be office based (Glasgow), hybrid or fully homebased.

Role of Customer Service Team Leader:

137. Daily workload planning, adapting to the needs of the clients.
138. Operational management and motivation of a remote/hybrid team
139. Rota management in line with business needs
140. Performance management including feedback and 121s.
141. Support the recruitment process
142. Overflow of calls, emails, chat and WhatsApp as and when required
143. Report, prepare and facilitate reviews for Feefo and Trust Pilot
144. Identify and deliver training and development needs.
145. Support pre departure process focusing on travel and cruise line entry requirements
146. Assist the Customer Relations department in line with business needs
147. Pre departure crisis management, able to work under pressure
148. In resort escalations such as flight cancellations.
149. Identify processes in need of improvement.
150. Strong understanding of the full customer journey

Skills required for the role:

151. Customer service experience in a fast-paced cruise environment
152. Previous team leader management responsibility – essential
153. A good people person who can lead by example
154. Approachable supportive and nurturing
155. Up to date cruise product knowledge
156. Ability to use cruise and supplier booking systems
157. Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
158. Sense of urgency and come work to tight deadlines
159. Strong negotiation skills while remaining diplomatic a firm but fair approach
