What you will enjoy doing
* This is a fantastic chance to become the expert and take a central role in maintaining and enhancing the equipment that powers our operations, contributing to the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our Crawley site.
* Ensure smooth operations: you will ensure all electrical and instrumentation equipment is working as it should do, inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing to keep everything running safely and efficiently.
* Get hands on: conduct regular maintenance and testing of instruments, keeping them in optimal condition.
* Make a difference: take the lead on installing and setting up new equipment, from wiring and mounting to programming and testing—your efforts will enhance operational excellence!
* Keep everything up to date: maintain detailed records and documentation about repairs, installations, maintenance, and safety inspections.
What makes you great
* You have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, ONC) in electrical or instrumentation fields.
* In addition, you are qualified in Hazardous Area Installations (COMPEX).
* Have around two years’ maintenance experience, ideally on a chemically related process plant.
* You are a problem solver, proactive, and skilled at making thoughtful decisions under pressure, always prioritising safety alongside business needs.
* Highly safety conscious with an awareness of Health and Safety practices and control of major accident hazards (ongoing training provided).
* A team player who thrives on collaboration and works effectively with others.
