Community Mental Health Nurse – Band 6, Charge Nurse
Live NMC UK pin required. Working in Adult Community Mental Health Team, Partick area, Glasgow City HSCP. Multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses and administration staff.
Location and Working Pattern
* Location: Riverside CMHT
* Contract: Permanent
* Hours: full‑time 36 hours per week, Monday‑Friday shift pattern
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical leadership of junior team members; prioritise workloads and utilise resources; conduct appraisal, clinical supervision, and caseload management.
* Accountable to the Nurse Team Leader for workload management and delegation to team members.
* Liaise with and act upon referrals from GPs, primary care workers, consultants and statutory bodies.
* Provide regular caseload management and supervisory function to other nursing grades and facilitate the appraisal process within the area of responsibility.
* Provide a leadership/developmental function for nursing staff, supporting career‑long learning, evidence‑based practice, and continuous quality improvement.
* Offer extended supervisory support for nursing staff outside the immediate team, e.g., other nursing grades.
Qualifications and Experience
* First level Registered Mental Nurse.
* Significant post‑registration nursing experience with relevant competences.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
* Ability to fulfil the main duties and responsibilities outlined above.
