Overview
The Multi‑Skilled Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing operation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a wide range of production equipment and site services, ensuring the bakery operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), respond to breakdowns, complete corrective maintenance activities and support installation and improvement projects across the site.
- Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimise disruption to production.
- Record maintenance activities through our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring work orders, materials and labour are captured correctly.
- Support the development of maintenance standards, equipment performance monitoring and engineering best practice across the site.
- Help drive a proactive maintenance culture, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently while supporting the site’s ambitious growth plans.
- Provide emergency maintenance support in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications
- Qualified Multi‑Skilled Engineer with recognised engineering qualifications.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing desirable).
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
- IT literate with experience using maintenance management systems.
- IPAF qualification and/or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification desirable but not essential.
