Logistics /Transport Assistant - £26,000 pa -£29,000 pa + 10% bonus + company bonus + benefits- Staines TW18. Mon - Friday. Hybrid working (1-2 days in the office), We would consider full-time or part-time hours.

Position Overview for the Logistics/Transport Assistant Role: FMCG /Food Industry
The Logistics Assistant supports the smooth day-to-day coordination of inbound international shipments and domestic transport activities. The role ensures accurate administration, timely delivery tracking, and effective communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, and warehouses. By maintaining up-to-date transport records and supporting cost monitoring, the position contributes to operational efficiency and reliable product availability across the business. Key Responsibilities for the Logistics Assistant: FMCG/Food Industry
* Supporting coordination of international inbound shipments to the UK
* Booking and monitoring transport with external logistics providers
* Organising internal warehouse transfers and sample shipments
* Maintaining accurate shipment records, delivery schedules and transport data in the system
* Monitoring transportation costs and supporting basic cost control activities
* Communicating with international suppliers, freight forwarders and warehouses
* Supporting logistics reporting and administrative activities
* Ensuring compliance with company procedures and transport regulations
Skills for the Logistics/Transport Assistant Role:
* Previous experience in logistics, transport, supply chain or an operations support role
* Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload
* Good communication skills and confidence working with external partners
* Comfortable working with data and updating systems accurately
* Proactive and problem-solving mindset
* Ability to cope under pressure
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
* Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
